There is a street park downstairs at home. In ordinary days, you can ride bicycle around Jinzhong Reservoir, and in weekends you can also enjoy rural scenery in Yakou village in Nanlang or wetland park in Tanzhou.

Zhongshan has been always laying emphasis on green development, with 95% of woodland forest coverage. Since launching the establishment work of “National Forestry City” in 2016, there have been 18 forest parks, 2 wetland parks, constructed as well as 1 natural reserve and 6 city-level forest parks under construction.

According to incomplete statistics, since 2016 Zhongshan municipal government has invested 1.7bn yuan on 322 greening projects, 41.9% of which (135) have been completed and 263 are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Zhongshan also optimizes layout of forest parks, wetland parks and urban parks and urges more than 50 parks including Yahuan Mountain, Tielu Mountain and Fenghuang Mountain parks and Yakou and Tanzhou Jindou Bay wetland parks.

“There are more and more parks built within the city, which benefit citizens quite well.” Said Uncle Chen who works as community security officer. “People now can wander in the parks just downstairs at home, which leads to increasing happiness.”
