It is learned from the Zhongshan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that the mooncake export volume from Zhongshan this year totaled 1,400.7 tons, amounted to $11.595mn, with 4.9% and 2.0% growth respectively. The number reached a record high and ranked the first in the country for 12 consecutive years. Zhongshan’s mooncake export accounted for 50% of the whole country’s and more than 70% of Guangdong’s.

It is known that this year Zhongshan exported mooncake to 7 more countries and regions, including countries along “The Belt and Road” such as Cambodia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines, in addition to the previous 24. Statistics showed that Zhongshan mooncake exported to"The Belt and Road" countries amounts to more than $5mn. The mooncake export volume to Japan doubled this year after market expansion to the country.
