According to Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau, in Q3 of the year, there was a gradual rebound in the price of Zhongshan’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The LPG price is expected to keep rising in Q4. 

“Over the past one month, the cost increased rapidly, so we have raised the price twice in September and October respectively.” Said director from the Zhongshan branch of SHV Energy Company. The price of single barrel of 15-kg LPG has risen from 104 yuan in September to 108 yuan in October, only lower than the price of 110 yuan in February. 

According to analysis, the gradual rebound of the price of LPG is firstly due to cyclical factor. The price of LPG declines in spring and summer because of the weather, but rises when its demand increases in fall and winter. In addition, the rebound of the international oil price caused a rise in the price of refined oil in China, which further leads to a rise in the LPG price.
