Recently, the Guangdong Province Department of Culture announced the qualification list of the first cultural industry demonstration zones in Guangdong. Guangdong Game and Amusement Culture Industry City (GD Game City) which is located in Gangkou town was included. Once the demonstration zone established, GD Game City can receive corresponding incentives,such as the priority to apply for national industrial base title and relevant financial support.

Ouyang An, general manager of GD Game City, said they aimed to build the GD Game City into “NO.1 game and amusement cultural city” in 5 years time. GD Game City would become the center of global game entertainment industry, the largest game and amusement R&D and technology innovation center in China, the most influential game and amusement industry and derivatives display trading center, and the most characteristic game and amusement cultural experience center in Pearl River Delta.
