There is a group of young men in Torch Zone Community Healthcare Center who gave up the well-paid job in large hospitals but happily work as community doctors in grassroots units.

In the past four years, Torch Zone Community Healthcare Center had introduced and trained 16 high-level professionals, who had done their talents and achieved life value on their posts. 

Sun Qiaozhang, 35, is the head pf Kaiyin Health Service Station. In August 2014, she gave up the well-paid job offered by Guangdong Hospital of TCM and returned to Zhongshan. She was also the first high-level professional introduced to the health service station.

Since 2014, “hierarchical diagnosis and treatment” system came into use nationwide. Many patients in that case were transferred to hospital through community health stations. Sun Qiaozhang believed working in community stations could bring her more opportunities to communicate with patients and more time to study traditional Chinese medicine.

In addition to provide medical inspection, community doctors also have to assume family doctor duties. This enriches her work scopes and widens her eyes.
