Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau publicized the environmental impact statement of Yakou Provincial Wetland Park in recent days. According to the report, by the end of December next year, there will be a wetland park covering an area of over 1000 Mu built-up in Zhongshan. The park is expected to carry 1,458 visitors per day and peak at 2,916. 

The report shows that the park will be located in Yakou village, Nanlang town of Zhongshan city, about 15 kilometers from the central city. The planned area of the park reached 1085.24 mu, about 86% of which is wetland area.

It is learned that Yakou village has unique natural and geographical advantages in building a wetland park. The reservoir-ponds-mangrove forest ecological system within Yakou village is an important part of China’s wetland system, with high scientific research and environment protection value.
