“The construction drawing design of the bridge engineering has passed expert review recently. It will be presented to Transportation Department of Guangdong Province for examination and approval.”

Project leader of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel revealed on November 3 that the bridge engineering project will begin construction by the end of 2017. After completion, the Lingding Ocean Bridge, which will be 90 meters above the sea, is expected to become the highest sea bridge in the world. 

Shenzhen-Zhongshan Channel includes east artificial island, Shenzhen Airport interchange, undersea tunnel, west artificial island, the Lingding Ocean Bridge, Wanqingsha interchange, Zhongshan Bridge, Hengmen interchange and other major components from east to west. The bridge part is mainly located at the Zhongshan side.
