For the first three quarters of the year, the total profits of Zhongshan-based above-scale industrial enterprises increased 6.5% to 22.59 billion yuan, according to Zhongshan Bureau of Statistics. The profits resulting from enterprises’ major business amounted to 21.173 billion yuan, up 7.4%. 

Large enterprises saw rebound in their profit, while medium-sized enterprises maintained a rapid growth in revenue. Total profit of large enterprises reached 12.444 billion yuan, up 1.8%, while of medium-sized enterprises was 6.465 billion yuan, up 15.7%. Private enterprises have strong profitability by gaining total profits of 7.895 billion yuan, up 11.5%. 

In terms of industries, 25 industries achieved more than 100 million yuan profits. In specific, the profit of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry increased 15.2% to 3.435 billion yuan.
