On the 10th, Liu Wenyong, Secretary of Party Committee of Zhongshan Highway Administration Bureau, was invited to "Friday's live broadcast room" program communicate with citizens about the construction of national and provincial roads in Zhongshan. 

At present, said Liu Wenyong, Zhongshan is advancing the reformulation of national and provincial highway network planning, after which Zhongshan will be passed through by 8 national and provincial roads. In long-term, there will be another provincial highway S551 (coastal highway) penetrating Zhongshan as well.

The southern section of National Road 105 is an important traffic artery in southern part of the city. According to the reconstruction planning, the entire line will be upgraded from bidirectional six-lane to two-way eight lanes, with the designed top speed of 80 km/h. All traffic lights will be canceled at the main line. The reconstruction will begin in 2018.
