According to the statistics, the trading volume on November 11 on Alibaba’s shopping platform was 168.2 billion yuan. Zhongshan accounted for 800.56 million yuan of the total trading volume, up 46% from last year, ranking fifth in Guangdong Province.
On this year’s November 11, Zhongshanese buyers participating in T-Mall’s Shopping Festival were mainly born in 1980s and 1990s. 77% of Zhongshan buyers were under 35 years old, in which 50% ranged from 26 to 35 years old. Only 23% of buyers were above 36 years old. In terms of gender, 55% of buyers were women, while 45% were men.
On this year’s November 11, Guangdong’s trading volume exceeded 20.3 billion yuan. Shenzhen’s trading volume exceeded 5.2 billion yuan, ranking first in Guangdong, while Guangzhou, Dongguan, Foshan and Zhongshan had 5.1 billion yuan, 2 billion yuan, 1.6 billion yuan and 800 million yuan of spending respectively. Hot-selling products for Zhongshan consumers included mobile phones, lights, flat-TVs, low-cut shoes and air-conditioners.
