“There are 16 projects in operation now, so it’s already full here.” Vice General Manager of Zhongshan Smart Manufacturing Service Platform Zhong Yongcai said. In the first three quarters of this year, the platform has generated more than 195 million yuan and assisted enterprises in finishing more than 120 projects. 

Since May this year, the platform helps Zhongshan Economy and Information Technology Bureau launch the “Zhongshan Smart Manufacturing Service Going to Grassroots” activity and gives tour lectures in 18 towns including Nantou, Dongfeng, Sanxiang, Fusha towns where about 1,000 enterprises have taken part in. Currently, hardware, household appliance and precision electronics industries receive the greatest number of orders. 

According to Zhong Yongcai, the platform has core technology in machine vision, industrial control system, smart manufacturing system, automated production system and has 49 items of inventions and new types of patents. 

Since the Smart Manufacturing Service Platform went into operation in January 2016, it has provided more than 600 enterprises with over 1,000 intelligent manufacturing solutions, over 450 of which have been adopted by enterprises. It has also trained more than 1600 specialty talents.
