The “China Urban Research Report, 2017 Q3” provided by Baidu Map was released recently, showing that in the third quarter Zhongshan ranks 20th among major cities in the country in population attractive power.

Beijing has the strongest population attractive power, followed by Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Guangdong cities including Dongguan, Foshan Huizhou and Zhongshan ranked 5th, 9th, 18th and 20th respectively.

The report analyzes the urban population attractiveness of 60 major cities through big data.

Reportedly, since the sixth national census conducted, Zhongshan sees slowing population growth but still maintains population net inflow. The population structure of Zhongshan city is continuously adjusted and optimized, and the population quality is being improved.

In the process of socio-economic development, Zhongshan government keeps adjusting household registration policy to attract more people to settle down in the city.
