The 2017 Autumn Welcoming Ceremony for Veterans cum The Special Job Fair was South District Fitness Square on the morning of November 20. More than 410 ex-soldiers participated in the job fair, 152 of which reached employment intentions with companies.

Over 100 companies offered veterans with nearly 3,000 jobs in 320 posts, covering management trainee, regional manager, test clerk, and etc. The monthly salary of these posts ranged from 3,000 yuan to 7,800 yuan.

Official from the Zhongshan Civil Affairs Bureau says that in recent years Zhongshan has introduced veterans placement policies, according to which every ex-soldier in Zhongshan can receive one-time financial aid, equivalent to 1.5 times of the city’s per capita disposable income of last fiscal year, from the government. They can also receive vocational training and higher education as well as employment recommendation.
