"I am so excited now!" On the morning of November 20th, the first batch of new energy vehicle license plates of Zhongshan city were issued in Daling vehicle license plate processing point of the city’s Vehicle Administration Office. The car owner Mr. Cai revealed a joyful face when he completed the installation of the new license plate "GDT D16666". 

On the same day, a bus was also installed Zhongshan's first new energy large vehicle license plate "GDT 13388D".

According to the deployment of the Ministry of Public Security, starting from November 20th, the whole country will promote new energy vehicle license plates in three batches. The first batch of 12 cities including Zhongshan, Guangdong and Liuzhou, Guangxi have started to implement. Zhongshan is also the second city in Guangdong province to start the registration of new energy vehicles after Shenzhen.

According to Zhongshan traffic police, the new vehicle license plate is green-based and contains 6 number digits, 1 more than the ordinary ones.
