The 40-men root-seeking delegation formed by descendants of “The Father of China Aviation” Young Sen-yit, including grandson Leigh-Wai Doo and great-grandson Yang Bowei, visited Zhongshan Young Sen-yit Middle School on November 22 for cultural exchanges. 

School President Li Zike warmly received the delegation and presented self-designed textbooks of the history of the school and a memorial album of the 90th birthday of the school to Mr Doo.

The root-seeking delegation looked around the landmarks in the school such as the Young Sen-yit Statute, the F-5 Jet and the General Memorial Room. Mr Doo appreciated the changes and the educational achievements of the school. He said he was committed to boosting international educational exchanges between Hawaii and Zhongshan. He hoped that he can help to bring about an affiliation between Hawaii local Kaiser High School and Zhongshan Young Sen-yit Middle School as well as more communication and exchange activities between between teachers and students from both schools.
