Zhongshan No.1 People's Court sets up online case-filing platform
Updated: 2017-12-07    Source: Zhongshan Daily Large Medium Small Print

On December 5, lawyer Ding Jinshi came to Litigation Service Center of Zhongshan Court once again to get the acceptance notice of case. It took him only 5 minutes to complete the process.

“The case-filing speed is 10 times faster than ever before.” Said Ding Jinshi. It used to take at least 10 working days to file a case. “Now, we can send the indictment to the court through the internet and come here at appointed time after the approval. We only need to come here once to complete the filing process.”

From September 26 this year, Zhongshan No.1 People's Court enabled the “lawyer service platform”, the “online litigation service platform” and the “self-service case-filing platform”. The court opened online filing function for financial cases in October, and for the 835 civil cases in November.

According to Yang Shaoyi, Presiding Judge of Case Filing Chamber of Zhongshan No.1 People's Court, citizens now can file a case through 3 ways: online filing through service platforms, self-filing in Litigation Service Center, and on-site filing through service windows. Citizens can deal with all basic legal affairs, except court appearance, in the litigation service center.
