Zhongshan's consumer price index (CPI) fell 0.2% month-on-month in November, recording a 1.7% year-on-year increase.
Compared with the figures in previous month, in November, Zhongshan's food prices had generally come down. Prices of various kinds of leaf vegetables showed a general declined, with an overall 6.2% decrease in fresh vegetables. Pork consumption was stable and the price fell 2.2%. The prices of aquatic products fell by 1.0%.
In November, Zhongshan's CPI increased 1.7% year on year, of which food, tobacco and alcohol prices were up 0.2 %, non-food, tobacco and alcohol prices up 2.5 %, shopping goods prices up 0.9%, and service prices up 3.3%.
