The opening ceremony of “Zhongshan-Gongbo'gyamda Remote Diagnosis System” was held in Zhongshan City and Gongbo'gyamda County of Tibet at the same time on the morning of December 18. Officials from public health departments and relevant hospital staffs of both places attended the ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, a 31-year-old female Tibetan received the treatment service provided by Zhongshan Grade-3 First-class hospital through video inquiry.

“Zhongshan-Gongbo'gyamda Remote Diagnosis System” is Zhongshan’s another important livelihood project in aiding Gongbo'gyamda County of Nyingchi City in Tibet. According to Lei Jimin, Director of Zhongshan Health and Family Planning Bureau, the system will gradually cover more areas for medical assistance to Tibet, so that Tibetan can conveniently enjoy high-quality remote diagnosis and treatment services “at home”.
