During The 12th China’s Overall Well-off Forum held in Beijing days before, Zhongshan athlete Su Bingtian was awarded “Top 10 Outstanding Contributor to China's Overall Well-off in 2017”.
It is reportedly that the selection aims at commending figures who have made special achievements in economics and politics, science and education, culture, ecology and public welfare in the process of building an all-round well-off society in China.
In recent five years, Su Bingtian witnessed one after another historic breakthrough of Chinese track and field cause. He was the first Asian-born athlete to run under 10 secs in Men’s 100m, and the first Asian athlete who hit the track of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics Men’s 100m Final. Su Bingtian also repeated successes with his national teammates in Men’s 4x100 relay.
In a recent interview with Xinhua News Agency, Su Bingtian reveals that his goal is to stand on the podium of the Tokyo Olympic Games. “As for the future, I hope to become a university teacher and devote myself to the sports education career, imparting cutting-edge training concepts and methods to the young students and athletes.”
