The Zhongshan Administrative Mediation Measures has been released and will be implemented from January 1, 2018, Zhongshan Legislation Bureau indicates.

According to the Measures, a new system for administrative organs and people’s court to get involved in administrative mediation before case filing will be developed. In the future, people who want to sue the government officials are allowed to apply for administrative mediation before the case being filed.

The municipal government will also set up a mediation office at Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court. Party involved in the case can choose between the to-be-sued party’s administrative organ and the mediation office to resolve the dispute.
