The 12th Party-Government Joint Meeting for Zhuhai-Zhongshan-Jiangmen-Yangjiang Regional Cooperation cum “Greater Bay Area Traffic” Forum was held on the afternoon of December 27. The 4 cities conducted in-depth exchanges on promotion of transport infrastructure connectivity and accelerated integration into the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”.

At this joint meeting, the 4 cities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), according to which the 4 sides will strengthen cooperation in transportation, industry and environmental protection. 

The 4 cities will jointly establish the cooperation mechanism of key projects promotion. Traffic departments, development and reform departments, environmental protection departments, economic and information departments and water conservancy departments of the 4 cities will identify a number of projects and carry forward once approved by the governments.

Since 2009, the 4 cities have accelerated the regional integration development. Previously, 4 sides have conducted 11 joint meetings for research on industrial co-construction, transport interconnection, urban construction and public service cooperation.
