The inspector group formed by officials from Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau, Zhongshan Transportation Bureau and other two departments conducted an air pollution prevention and control inspection in two enterprises in Sanjiao and Minzhong town on the afternoon of January 3. On the scene, the inspector group examined the legal utilization and rectification progress of equipment.

According to Du Min, Deputy Director of Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau, because of heavy pollution,coal-fired boilers are being phased out. At present, there are still 64 coal-fired boilers in the city, mainly owned by enterprises in printing and dyeing, pipe piles and paper-making industries.
