The Top 10 livelihood projects of 2017, including “traffic management optimization”, “food safety demonstration city establishment”, “crime combat and precaution” and etc, had been put in the Zhongshan government work report last year and up to now have been basically completed. Significant results are made in particular in traffic management optimization, bus service upgrade, water quality treatment and administrative service improvement.

In terms of traffic management optimization, Zhongshan started to construct the “traffic flow data base” last year. The traffic control optimization in 20 congested roads such as Tiyu Road and Yulai Middle Road is completed and passes evaluation.

2017 was the beginning of the the 3-year “water rectification planning”. In the year, 33 km of river silt has been cleared and aquatic plants have been grown in 4.1 km-long river sections.
