By the end of the year, “transparent kitchen” program is expected to 100% cover all big enterprises and schools based in Zhongshan, says Zhou Chaoyang, Director of Zhongshan Food and Drug Administration (ZSFDA), during the “Friday On-air” radio program on February 2.

Last year, ZSFDA has introduced the “transparent kitchen” program into Zhongshan Campus of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University. With smartphone application, students and parents can watch the “transparent kitchen” webcast of the the campus’ NO.3 dining hall.

The “Transparent Kitchen Program” refers to that catering organizations, who installed clear glasses and video surveillance cams, display their kitchens to consumers. They are also required to accept consumers’ supervision by publicizing the food-related business permit information, health certificates of employees, and etc.
