The “Central First Document” released on February 4 made explicit deployment on prmotion of integrated development of rural economy and society. With this "driving force", says officials from local agricultural authorities, Zhongshan will put effort in deepening all-round rural reform to stimulate new development vitality.

In accordance with the “Central First Document”, Zhongshan will focus on opening channel of employment, enhancing vocational training, fostering new-type farmers, and guiding rural residents in entrepreneurship, employment and job selection.

Reportedly, last year Zhongshan sees rapid development in leisure agriculture. Leisure agricultural attractions received approximately 4 million tourists in total. The annual disposable income of rural permanent residents increased 8.6% year-on-year to almost 30,000 yuan in 2017.
