The peak season of job-hunting for college graduates comes after every Spring Festival. According to “The 2017 Statistics Report on the Employment of College Graduates from Zhongshan” issued recently by Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the employment rate of Zhongshan native college graduates reached 97.82% last year, up 0.86% from 2016.

Accounting, business administration, computer science and international trade are still popular majors for Zhongshan students. Among the 70 majors with most Zhongshan students enrolled, only 3 are of employment rate of lower than 95%.

Last year, 98.91% of Zhongshan college graduates got jobs within Guangdong province, and more than 79% returned Zhongshan for employment. Most of them, up to 97.81%, worked in Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan and Dongguan.

The report also reveals that the employment proportions of Zhongshan college graduates in government organs, state-owned enterprises and public institutions have increased.
