Zhongshan Foodstuffs and Aquatic Import & Export Group opened its “Baoping Yu Du”　store on Yintong Street in recent days. The new project, which covers e-commerce, entity retail, wholesales and group purchase, and catering service, is the new format the 63-year-old Zhongshan “time-honored brand” expands for business transformation and development.

“Most of the aquatic products we sell are imported from countries along ‘the Belt and Road’ with government’s support.” Said He Ronghong, Chairman of Zhongshan Foodstuffs and Aquatic Import & Export Group. The company collects quality aquatic products and sells to customers, offering them with new experience of business purchase, individual shopping and food and life. It is part of the company’s exploration in supply side reform. 

Zhongshan Foodstuffs and Aquatic Import & Export Group was founded in 1955 and turned to mixed-ownership enterprise in 1998. At present, the company possesses over 20,000 mu large green food aquaculture demonstration base and breeding base for freshwater fish supplied to Hong Kong and Macao. The company occupies 40% of the freshwater fish market in Hong Kong and Macao by exporting more than 15,000 tons of aquatic products there per year.
