Zheng Baosheng was busy answering clients’ phone calls in his office located in the Auto City on Changjiang Road North on the morning of January 30. The Vice General Manager of Zhongshan Shunfeng New Energy Vehicle Experience Center said: “We have 50 new energy cars. All of them have been reserved for the Spring Festival holiday, but the clients still keep calling us for inquiring.” 

Car rental market flourishes as traveling by car is convenient and gives “faces” to people doing relatives visiting during Spring Festival holiday.

New energy vehicles became popular and were in short supply this year, owing to the low car rental fee and driving cost. For example, in terms of driving cost, driver need to spend at least 0.5 yuan for every kilometer traveled (for fuel consumption) on general car, but only 0.08 yuan on new energy vehicle.
