During the Spring Festival holiday, vegetable prices stays at a high level. Pakchoi price jumps to 16 yuan/kg from 6 yuan/kg of ordinary days, white radish price increases to 9 yuan/kg, and prices of cucumber and green bean double from ordinary days.

As the holiday ends, vegetable prices drops back to normal level. A stall owner in Houxing Market believes the vegetable prices will not be stable until the Lantern Festival.
