The payment methods of public housing rent are adjusted from this year on. About 72% of families with housing problem in the city will be benefited.

In order to guarantee the ability of low-income families with housing difficulties to pay rent, according to Zhongshan Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau, starting from this year, “differential rents” will be adopted in accordance with the family income situation, and the rent will be paid through “public-housing rent waiver” method instead of “pay first subsidy later” method.
