People from all walks of life in Zhongshan gathered in Sun Yat-sen’s Former Residence Museum to commemorate the 93th anniversary of Dr Sun Yat-sen’s death and to honor the memory of the forerunner of the Chinese democratic revolution.

A silence was observed in front of the great man’s portrait at 9:30am. Afterwards, representatives of municipal government departments and units presented a flower basket at the portrait with Sun Yat-sen’s relatives for honoring the memory of the great man's imperishable merits and sublime spirits in the pursuit of national independence, social progress and people’s happiness. 

The 5-day “Sun Yat-sen in Shanghai” exhibition, which is organized by Sun Yat-sen’s Former Residence Museum and Shanghai Sun Yat-sen Museum, opened on the same day. More than 140 photos and 20 pieces of historical material would be displayed.
