Days before, Torch High Technology Industry Development Center, Ministry of Science & Technology notifies the result of last year’s evaluation of national high-tech development zones. Zhongshan’s high-tech development zone ranks 38th nationwide, 6 places higher than a year earlier. 

The original 11 national high-tech development zones in Guangdong all move up in the ranking. (In 2017, Guangdong adds 3 new high-tech development zones respectively in Shantou, Zhanjiang and Maoming city, making the total amount 14.) Shenzhen high-tech zone ranks 2nd nationwide, and Guangzhou high-tech zone is among the top10.
