The Zhongshan Food and Drug Safety Public Supervision Team made debut on March 26. Total 20 citizens received engagement letters from Zhongshan Food and Drug Administration. They will play important role in food and drug safety counselling, supervision and propaganda.

The 20 public supervisors come from different industries. There are deputies to Municipal People’s Congress, member of Municipal Committee of CPPCC, pressmen, industry experts, scientific researchers, food and drug producers, and etc.

The public supervisors are responsible for supervising the law enforcement actions taken by municipal food and drug administration authorities and staffs, informing and conveying citizens’ complaints and reports over illegal law enforcement actions, and collecting relevant advice and opinions from the public.
