“The state government plans to start 5G network trial in some of the cities, in which circumstance, Tongyu Communication will be one of the main suppliers of 5G antenna products.” Said Zhao Wei, 5G R&D Director and Senior Engineer of Zhongshan-based Tongyu Communication Inc. Since the company established the 5G R&D Center last August, Zhao Wei and his 30-man research team had conquered kinds of technical difficulties and become main supplier of equipment giants such as ZTE, Datang and Ericsson. 

Zhao Wei graduated from Northwestern Polytechnic University in 2006 as a postgraduate and started to work for China Airborne Missile Academy of Aviation Industry Corporation of China in the same year specializing in development of antennas and feeder components. 

In April of 2016, Zhao Wei was invited to Tongyu Communication as a technical expert. From military-use product to civilian industry product, Zhao Wei has successfully grated the military technologies in base station antenna development and production.
