The Summing-up Meeting for Spring Festival Transportation cum Traffic Safety Joint Teleconference of Guangdong Province was held on April 13. Zhongshan, Shantou and Qingyuan city received commendations for having the lowest death toll per ten thousand accidents during the Spring Festival.

After the teleconference, Zhongshan held a meeting to sum up the experience of this year's Spring Festival transportation. It was announced that Zhongshan will revive traffic safety joint conference system and in addition plans to turn the security measures taken during the Spring Festival into normal mechanism in future holidays.
