Zhongshan's CPI (Consumer Price Index) fell 2.1% month-on-month in March, recording a year-on-year increase of 1.2%. Fresh vegetables price dropped by 15.6%. Meanwhile, tourism and hairdressing prices decreased by 20% and 15.9% respectively.

Food prices generally declined by 4.8% after the Spring Festival. Specifically, the prices of fresh vegetables, meat and aquatic products all saw dramatic decreases. The prices of 37 out of 38 monitored vegetables dropped in March, 12 of which even plunged by more than 20%, resulting in an overall 15.6% drop in the price of fresh vegetables.

The price of services decreased by 2.0%, and the prices of travel agency service, transportation, hairdressing and other residential services saw obvious fall in March after rise in Spring Festival. Prices of tourism and hairdressing service decreased by 21.0% 15.9% respectively.
