It was the 32nd National “Children’s Vaccination Day” on April 25. Reportedly, every year a total of about 2.4 million vaccines are inoculated in Zhongshan, including about 1.6 million type I vaccines.

As of 2017, Zhongshan has eliminated smallpox and basically eliminated polio through vaccination.
