In the first quarter of the year, Zhongshan’s total exports and imports reached 53.81bn yuan. In specific, total exports dropped 10.6% to 40.94bn yuan (from a year earlier, the same below), while total imports increased 13.3% to 12.87bn yuan.

Zhongshan’s import-export volumes to India and Russia increased 20.6% and 8.5% respectively in Q1. Meanwhile, the city’s trade volume to the US, EU, ASEAN and Hong Kong decreased 6.5%, 2.9%, 15.5% and 25.7% respectively to 10.4bn yuan, 8.81bn yuan, 6.32bn yuan and 5.28bn yuan.
