The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10, according to Zhongshan Commerce Bureau.

So far, 9 foreign-funded companies based in Zhongshan have confirmed exhibition area of 162 square meters in CIIE, which covers two large special display zones. The exhibitors from Italy, Canada, Australia and other countries will display imported brand products in terms of energy-saving and environmental protection, high-end equipment, smart home, household entertainment equipment, baby supplies and other categories and high-end imported consumer goods such as wine and seafood.

Sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and Shanghai Municipal Government, CIIE will set up 6 main exhibition areas respectively for smart and high-end equipment, consumer electronics and home appliances, automobiles, clothing and daily-use consumer goods, food and agricultural products, as well as medical devices, medicine and health care products. So far, enterprises from more than 100 countries and regions have confirmed participation in the event. It is expected that up to 150,000 domestic and foreign professional buyers will take part in the event too.
