Zhongshan arranges 10mn yuan for e-business development

In order to promote coordinated development of urban and rural markets, support rural and agricultural product e-business, advance development of internet and e-business of enterprises and develop online marketing channels, Zhongshan municipal government especially arranges 10mn yuan fund for development of “internet and commerce circulation” demonstration projects and establishment of e-commerce transaction platforms, according to Zhongshan Commercial Bureau.

“We sell not only home appliances and also daily necessities here.” Says Lin Lijian, manager of Gangkou Direct-Sale Store of B2C online shopping platform Suning.

So far, according to Zhongshan Commercial Bureau, Suning has founded 12 rural e-commerce direct-sale stores in Zhongshan, which generated 130mn yuan annual trading volume in 2017, with an year-on-year growth of 69%. These direct-sale stores, 300 sqm large at most, sell products including daily necessities, general merchandise, home appliances, 3C products, food and wines, baby and maternal products, beauty products, and etc.

Zhongshan local processed agricultural product makers and characteristic food producers also started e-business. Huangopu cured meat, Zhongshan almond cake, Zhongshan soy sauce are sold on e-commerce platforms such as Taobao, Tmall and JD.com. Active e-commerce sellers such as Juxiangyuan, Chubang, Jinhuang, Wing Ip and etc had contributed approximately 100mn yuan trade volume last year.
