The Standing Committee of Municipal People’s Congress reported the implementation of “Forestry Law of the People's Republic of China” and “Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Forestry Law” at the 10th session of the Standing Committee of the 15th Zhongshan Municipal People’s Congress convened on May 28.

Reportedly, at present the city has 430 thousand mu forestland, with 23.08% forest coverage rate. The forest growing stock reached 3 million cubic meters, and the per unit area of stock reached 76 cubic meters. Zhongshan has built 19 forest parks (1 national one), 15 wetland parks (1 national one), 1 natural reserve and 4 “provincial forest towns”.
