Zhongshan Internet Association, which is initiated jointly by China Unicom Zhongshan, China Mobile Zhongshan, China Telecom Zhongshan, China Tower Zhongshan and etc, was founded on June 12. Nearly 40 member units attended the founding ceremony. 

The first member of the board of directors and the president, vice president and chief supervisor were elected on the same day. Tong Qingjun, General Manager of China Unicom Zhongshan, was elected president.

Reportedly, the association will assist the government in "Strong Manufacturing City" building and advance deep integration of internet, Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and the real economy.

When will zhongshan embrace “The 5G Era” (5th generation mobile networks)? Tong Qingjun anticipated the answer will be in June next year.
