The opening ceremony of “Community Elder’s Canteen” was held in Torch Zone on June 13. Six kinds of aged people, including the elderly people who live scattered in poverty, the elderly people of no family without labor capacity, source of income and supporters, the elderly people who live alone from the families with basic living allowance and low income, the elderly people over 80 years old in the community, the preferential treatment person over 60 years old and the elderly soldier with first class disabled, can enjoy free meal in the canteen.

In addition, other elderly people over 60 years old can enjoy the half-price meal with government subsidy.

Torch Zone also sets up volunteer teams and meal delivery teams in the community service center for elderly persons who have difficulty in moving.
