Zhongshan recently introduced “Incentive Measures on Reporting Gangland-related Crimes and Activities” to encourage all sectors of society and citizens to participate in anti-gangland campaign, according to Zhongshan Politics and Law Committee.

The Incentive Measures mentions that crime-reporters will be given one-time reward once the clues they provide are verified by public security organs. In specific, the reward for “reporting gangland-alike organization committing crimes” will be rewarded 100,000 to 300,000 yuan.

The Incentive Measures also includes special regulations on confidentiality principle. Individual information of crime-reporters will be kept secret for right protection purpose.
