The processing capacity of the Southern Group Waste Treatment Base will be increased by by 1,500 tons/day, covering 600 tons industrial refuse and 900 tons household waste.

“There are two garbage incinerators in the base. Each of them is equipped with gas emission on-line monitoring instruments, which are connected to the system of environmental protection authority’s. The data will also be publicized through the LED screen in the entrance of the base.” Says responsible person of Zhongshan Guangye Longcheng Environment Protection Co Ltd.

The extensions of the Central Group Waste Treatment Base and Northern Group Waste Treatment Base are also in progress, says Deputy Director of Zhongshan Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau Deng Jinping. The two bases will be respectively scaled up by 1,200 tons/day in processing capacity, and will be put into operation as soon as possible after completion by the end of the year.
