From this month on, the HSR (High-speed Rail) line previously heading to Guiyang city, with stop in Zhongshan Station, has been extended to Chongqing city and Chengdu city, while the line to Changsha city, also stops in Zhongshan Station, has been extended to Huaihua city.

At 8:10am, July 1, the HSR train NO.D1842 stopped at Zhongshan Station. It marked the opening of HSR service from Zhongshan to Chongqing and Chengdu. On that day, more than 380 passengers were on the train NO.D1842, most heading to Chongqing and Chengdu.

As the new service opened, Zhongshan has been connected to all direct-controlled municipalities (except Tianjin) and most important central cities through HSR.
