Zhongshan starts to implement floating rate of employment injury insurance from July 1, according to Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The average premium rate is expected to decrease to 0.35% from previous 0.48%. Compared with the original fixed rate of 1%, it is expected to reduce the burden of enterprises by 280 million yuan per year.

Statistics show that more than 130 thousand enterprises have insured employment injury insurance for 1.5 million employees by the end of 2017. Up to 90% of these enterprises are of zero injury insurance expense and payment ratio.
