About 50 Zhongshan-based lighting companies will exhibit in the Fashion Lighting Fair to be held in Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa on August 16. 

According to Chen Zhibin, person in charge of Guzhen Foreign Trade Promotion Service Platform which organizes the fair, it is estimated up to 65 companies, including 50 based in Zhongshan, will participate in the fair which covers a total exhibition area of 5,000 sqm. Merchants from African countries and regions such as South Africa, Angola, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Algeria will attend the fair.

Chen Zhibin says Zhongshan companies have started to explore South Africa market more than three years ago. At present, the country has become an important stop for exploration of “The Belt and Road” markets.

China Lighting Capital (Guzhen) Overseas Direct-sale Base settled in Johannesburg in 2016 and exhibits and sells 30 brands at present. According to Chen Zhibin, the average monthly sales volume of the base for the first half of 2018 has exceeded 1 million yuan.
