The unemployment insurance compensation of Guangdong province has been increased to “90% of the minimum monthly wage” from previous 80%, since May of this year.

“From July 1 on, the minimum monthly wage of Zhongshan city is up-regulated to 1,720 yuan, in which case, the monthly unemployment insurance compensation is accordingly up-regulated to 1,548 yuan.” Said Jin Jing, Director of Endowment and Unemployment Insurance Department of Zhongshan Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

Reportedly, this is the second time Zhongshan up-regulates unemployment insurance compensation this year, with an overall 28% growth.
