The first eight emergency hospitals for cerebral stroke were announced during the Press Conference on the Establishment of the First Aid Alliance for Cerebral Stroke of Zhongshan City held on July 11.

The eight hospitals include Zhongshan People’s Hospital, Zhongshan Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhongshan Bo’ai Hospital, Xiaolan People’s Hospital of Zhongshan, Chen Xinghai Hospital of Zhongshan, Huangpu People’s Hospital of Zhongshan, Sanxiang Hospital and Banfu Hospital.

Reportedly, cerebral stroke has been the main target of prevention and control of chronic diseases in Zhongshan. Monitoring report shows that in 2016 a total of 6,624 acute cardiocerebrovascular cases took place in Zhongshan, including 5,561 cerebral stroke cases (accounting for 83.95%).
